Conference Center Manager
Laurel was retained by OCLC six years ago to build the conference center from the ground up, and along with the contributions of a talented and enterprising team has grown the operation to the success it enjoys today. An OSU graduate, Laurel has always worked in the hospitality industry, most recently as Director of Sales & Catering for a private country club for 11 years. She has also worked in the Columbus hotel industry as well as assisting in the opening of additional banquet and restaurant operations.
Laurel is responsible for all sales and overall operations, event planning, menu selection, cost proposals, and helping clients find creative ways to work within their budget.
Facilities Meeting Manager
Thad has been with OCLC for 5 years and has brought his audio visual and IT expertise to our team of professionals. Thad has a varied background of experience in the hospitality industry from event planning and sales to execution of large trade shows and specialty themed events.
Thad is the ‘hands on’ contact for clients the day of their event, assisting with everything from audio visual needs to ensuring all aspects of the event meet the client’s expectations. Thad is always ready to assist our clients in any way he can and prepared to tackle any last minutes needs or changes.
Conference Center Guest Relations
Amy Rucker joined our team in May of 2012 and has proven to be a wonderful asset to our operation! Amy manages our reception desk but handles a variety of tasks to assist our clients in make their meeting experience a pleasant and relaxed one. She is always front and center for any special requests such as questions, directions, printing, transportation arrangements, shipping needs and acts as a general liaison for guests and clients.
